Montgomery County Schools decided to close early today, therefore the GISW is running on Plan C.
- Classes end at 1:45 pm.
- Lunch Break takes place in accordance with the regular schedule
- Buses leave school at 1:55 pm only and follow the

World Day of the Book Report
On April 26, 2018, the Elementary School celebrated the Day of the Book for the 15th time. The morning began with a reading by the author Terry C. Jennings from her book 鈥淪ounds of the Savanna鈥�. Afterwards students from the different classes enjoyed activities all around this theme. In front of the library a movie clip was running, featuring animal voices and cookies and ice water were served.
In between presentations, the author individually signed the newly purchased books. Later, she mingled among students and admired, what her colorful text had inspired. Several parents helped students shopping for flea market books, with crafts and work sheets. A big thank you again to all our volunteers.
We would also like to thank the Friends of the 海角原创 who made the event possible through their generous financial support. For the many participants, young and old, it proved to be an educational, yet entertaining morning.
