Montgomery County Schools decided to close early today, therefore the GISW is running on Plan C.
- Classes end at 1:45 pm.
- Lunch Break takes place in accordance with the regular schedule
- Buses leave school at 1:55 pm only and follow the

One, Two Three, and You're Out!
Our trip to the National Museum of Natural History
On January 22nd, 2020, the "Field Biology"- FuF-group visited the National Museum of Natural History accompanied by Mrs. Ellenrieder and Mr. Endenich. The goal was to get to know and understand the world of endangered animals. In the Hall of Mammals we tried to find out how many of the exhibited animals you can find on the 鈥淩ed List鈥� already, meaning they are endangered. Shockingly, it turns out that every fourth mammal is endangered!
Then we explored the museum and looked for relatives of mammals that are extinct today, watched a short film about evolution, looked at the 鈥淗ope Diamond鈥� and saw an exhibit of ancient mummies. We also discovered an interesting exhibition about the outbreak of epidemics. During several activities we took on the role of doctors, scientists and epidemiologists.
We learned a lot and also had a lot of fun. So you too, should visit the National Museum of Natural History.
