Montgomery County Schools decided to close early today, therefore the GISW is running on Plan C.
- Classes end at 1:45 pm.
- Lunch Break takes place in accordance with the regular schedule
- Buses leave school at 1:55 pm only and follow the
- Afternoon Program and Extended Care are cancelled.
- All afternoon and evening events are cancelled.

Nativity Play
Join in the Nativity Play - an invitation from the German Lutheran Church
After a break of two years, the German Lutheran Church invites you again to rehearsals for a nativity play. Children from elementary school age are welcome! Rehearsals will take place on Sundays during the worship service from 11am-12pm (in the children's service) and on three Friday afternoons from 4pm-5pm.
Location: Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 7730 Bradley Blvd, Bethesda (a 3-minute drive from the school). Shuttle service is provided from the school to the church for Friday rehearsals. Children will be supervised the entire time.
Here are the dates:
Sun. Nov. 6; Sun. Nov. 13, Fri. Nov. 18, Sun. Nov. 20, Sun. Nov. 27, Fri. Dec. 2, Sun. Dec. 4; Fri. Dec. 9 (dress rehearsal).
The performance is scheduled for Sun, Dec. 11 as part of an Advent celebration at the church from 3:00-5:30 pm.
The rehearsals will be led by Karen von Redecker, Sonja Barei脽-Eichhorn and Verona Laffitte from the Sunday School Team of the German Lutheran Church.
