Montgomery County Schools decided to close early today, therefore the GISW is running on Plan C.
- Classes end at 1:45 pm.
- Lunch Break takes place in accordance with the regular schedule
- Buses leave school at 1:55 pm only and follow the
- Afternoon Program and Extended Care are cancelled.
- All afternoon and evening events are cancelled.

Invitation: Welcome Night 2018
Dear GISW Families,
We hope that you are enjoying your summer break. We cordially invite you to attend our Welcome Night on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, from 4:00 鈥� 6:00 pm in the main building.
This is an event for the whole family. With our Welcome Night, we kick off the new school year. You will have the opportunity to meet your child鈥檚 homeroom teacher, learn more about a variety of offers for your child, buy P.E. uniforms, and to pick up your book orders. If you would like to purchase school books, school supplies, P.E. uniforms, or lunch tickets please remember to bring your check book or cash. Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit card payments.
During this afternoon, you can also explore opportunities to become involved with the Friends of the German International School, the Parent Association or as a volunteer in our cafeteria.
Complimentary refreshments will be offered in our school cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you at our Welcome Night!
