Montgomery County Schools decided to close early today, therefore the GISW is running on Plan C.

Information Session on March 24, 2021
Dear GISW School Community,
We would like to remind you of our invitation to the virtual information session on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 7 p.m. You received the Zoom Link in an E-Mail on Tuesday afternoon, March 23rd, 2021.
We would like to introduce our new Head of School for the next school year 2021/2022 as well as our revised health metrics. We will also give you an outlook of the remainder of the current school year and the upcoming school year.
The CDC has released its updated for operating schools during COVID-19 considering a three-foot physical distance between students as sufficient measure against the spread of COVID-19. In accordance with this recommendation and with consideration of the parent survey results, we want to expand our hybrid model. Within April we plan to return to offering daily in-person instruction to all students while maintaining the existing cohort groups and adhering to the established GISW hygiene measures. Afternoon classes will be resumed as in-person classes to the greatest extent possible. Our Head of School will explain the concept and inform you about details circa two weeks in advance of the extended hybrid phase. We are happy to take the next steps towards the safe reopening of our school together with you.
Please note, that after the Easter break, distance learning will take place for all students of grades SEL through 12 from April 14 until April 16, 2021. Preschool will begin on April 14th with their in-person program.
