GISW Students Qualify for National Finals of 'Jugend Pr盲sentiert'!

Where Rhetoric Meets Science 鈥 GISW Students Qualify for National Finals of Jugend Pr盲sentiert

Congratulations to Hashim E. and Johannes L. from Grade 8! The two students from the 海角原创 have successfully qualified for the national finals

in the renowned science presentation competition Jugend Pr盲sentiert, representing the network of German schools abroad.

With their engaging video presentation titled 鈥淔rom Floor to Plate 鈥 The Famous 5-Second Rule,鈥 Hashim and Johannes impressed the jury with both their scientific insight and rhetorical skill. As a special honor, they have also been invited to attend the Digital Presentation Academy, an intensive training program led by professional rhetoric coaches from the University of T眉bingen.

The national finals will take place on September 28, 2025, in Berlin, where 130 of the best students from across Germany and the German international school network will compete 鈥 including 17 students from German schools abroad. This year, more than 9,000 students took part in the competition, with around 600 reaching the regional finals.

The goal of Jugend Pr盲sentiert is to help students develop the valuable skill of presenting complex scientific topics clearly, effectively, and creatively. At the digital regional final, all participants received online coaching from experienced rhetoric trainers at the start of the competition. Each presentation had to be delivered using only digital media and within six-minutes a challenge that Hashim and Johannes mastered brilliantly.

Presentations were evaluated by a panel of experts including rhetoric professionals, teachers, scientists, and former competition participants. Criteria included communication style, use of voice and body language, clarity of visual aids, and scientific accuracy.

The entire GISW community is proud of this outstanding achievement and wishes Hashim and Johannes the very best of luck for the finals in Berlin!
