Montgomery County Schools decided to close early today, therefore the GISW is running on Plan C.
- Classes end at 1:45 pm.
- Lunch Break takes place in accordance with the regular schedule
- Buses leave school at 1:55 pm only and follow the
- Afternoon Program and Extended Care are cancelled.
- All afternoon and evening events are cancelled.

#FuF4future: Big Fundraiser
Halloween Treat for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation
On Friday October 29th, 2021 the #fuf4future AG held a Halloween bake sale during the lunch break with sinfully delicious cupcakes, cookies, cake pops and other sweets, in an effort to protection and saving of the Chesapeake Bay.
The crowd of monsters, zombies, vampires, aliens, witches and other ghoulishly beautiful creatures was huge and the treats sold freakishly fast.
Thanks to the support of the entire GISW community including our wonderful Griffin through cake, in-kind and monetary donations, the Halloween bake sale to benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation was a huge success. In total, we are able to donate a mind-blowing $750 to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to make a small difference in stopping the scary threat of climate change and pollution in the Chesapeake.
To all the small, big, scary, and not-so-scary donors, who supported our fundraiser and without whom it would not have been such a success, a big thank you!
