Field Trip to the Recycling Facility
On Tuesday, June 5th, 2018, our third-graders visited the Montgomery County Recycling Facility in Derwood, MD. The students learned about the basics of recycling in a presentation and then took a guided tour of the sorting facility. Our third-graders took away a greater understanding of the importance of recycling, the impact on the environment, and the processes involved. In the coming school year, theses students will act as 鈥渁mbassadors鈥� of recycling for the Elementary School and help in educating the rest of the students on the topic of recycling in their classrooms.
