Montgomery County Schools decided to close early today, therefore the GISW is running on Plan C.

- Classes end at 1:45 pm.
- Lunch Break takes place in accordance with the regular schedule
- Buses leave school at 1:55 pm only and follow the
- Afternoon Program and Extended Care are cancelled.
- All afternoon and evening events are cancelled.

Collecting Social Hours

Opportunity to Volunteer and receive social service hours in the 2025/26 school year!
 
Dear Students Grades 8-12,
Are you eager to get involved and make a difference on campus? Do you still need Social Service Hours to successfully graduate from GISW? The Admissions Office has a couple of exciting opportunities for you! We are looking for enthusiastic students like you to join us for our Welcome Night for new families on August 20, 2025, from 4 pm-7 pm and our Open Houses in the upcoming School Year.
Why Volunteer with the Admissions Office?
  • Gain new Experience and Competencies: Develop valuable communication, organization, and teamwork skills and receive the required 40 social service hours.
  • Make an Impact: Help future and prospective students and their families learn about our school and feel welcomed.
  • Flexible Hours: Volunteer around your class schedule
What You'll Do:
  • Assist with admissions events and campus tours.
  • Support administrative tasks
  • Engage with families and provide a friendly first face to prospective students.
