Montgomery County Schools decided to close early today, therefore the GISW is running on Plan C.
- Classes end at 1:45 pm.
- Lunch Break takes place in accordance with the regular schedule
- Buses leave school at 1:55 pm only and follow the
- Afternoon Program and Extended Care are cancelled.
- All afternoon and evening events are cancelled.

Annual Giving 2017 - Are you IN?
Did you know, that donating can be fun and may serve you very well personally? Die Annual Giving Campaign at the DSW makes it possible:
Until May 26, 2017, Fridays at 11:30 am, two great prizes will be raffled off among the 鈥淕ivers of the Week鈥� 鈥� one for parents and one for children (More than one child? More than one prize!)
Week1:
Winning family No.1: The DSW invites the whole class of your child to a round of ice cream.
Winning family No. 2: Personal parking spot until the next Annual Giving Campaign (transferrable).
Week2:
Winning family No.1: Your child鈥檚 favorite song will be aired throughout the school.
Winning family No. 2: Park & Party 鈥� personal parking spot for all main events at the school (Summer Festival 鈥� Back-To-School Night 鈥� 5K-Oktoberfest 鈥� St. Martin鈥檚 Parade 鈥� Christmas Market)
Week 3:
Winning family No.1: Pizza Lunch with a teacher of your child's choice for all students in his or her homeroom or prechool group.
Winning family No. 2.: Park & Party (see above)
Week 4:
Winning family No.1: Pizza Lunch with a teacher of your child's choice for all students in his or her homeroom or prechool group.
Winning family No. 2.: Park & Party (see above)
All winners will be featured with their pictures on the school monitors, the Wednesday Mail and the Website.
Are you IN? True to our Motto, the heart of the campaign is the idea of school spirit; the hope, that the participation among colleagues and families is as high as possible. This is not about how much you give, it鈥檚 about all of us coming together as a community. The names of all donors will appear on the website. A 100% participation rate among families and colleagues would send a fantastic signal within and outside the school community. How about donating today?
The first 40 donors who give more than $199 Dollars will be invited by the German Ambassador to a reception in his residence.
